As I walked a student and her mom to the door today, we noted this cat on the porch. Um, kitty, what bird did you eat, and do you plan on cleaning up after yourself?
Upon closer reflection....the "feathers" look more like patches of fur, so it looks as though kitty was in a fight, which I didn't even hear.

There are two neighborhood cats that are only out in the mornings and they stalk the bigger birds that are feeding on the seeds that the smaller birds have dropped out of our bird feeder. As soon as I rush out, they flee. But I have found too many feathers on the ground at other times. Boo! Hiss!
I had been thinking of that song lately and thinking about using it with string kids ;~)
