Black Bean Pumpkin Soup

I found this recipe on the Smitten Kitchen website (after hearing so much about it from other blogs and NPR), and now that it is soup season, I made this recipe last night. I did not follow it exactly (using Polska Kielbasa from Sprouts instead of ham, and I forgot the garlic), but it was pretty good, and it will stay in my Evernote recipe folder.

You should look at the pictures on the Smitten Kitchen recipe page since hers are definitely more beautiful than this one which I took halfway through eating the soup...
