Beginners

I'm not sure I would have purposefully chosen to see the movie Beginners in the theater, but we were looking for a Thursday matinee at the Laemmle, and since we'd already seen Midnight in Paris, this one came up as our next choice of the offerings.  (I'd like to see Super 8, but it's moved out of the Claremont lineup.)

I'm a Christopher Plummer fan from Sound of Music days, so I enjoyed watching him in this one, although I think the dog was the cutest character.  This movie was entertaining, not particularly deep with a few magical elements thrown in here and there for a fun effect.  Perfect for a Thursday afternoon (with free popcorn if you have your Laemmle Premiere card).
