Tchaikovsky Hangover
I have survived yet another concert weekend, and as I go about my daily business today, I keep hearing sections of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony running through my head. Last week we had Monday and Wednesday night rehearsals, a dress rehearsal on Friday night before our Saturday night and Sunday afternoon concerts. Playing a concert takes a lot out of one physically and mentally, and two is even more exhausting. Usually we have one concert that is significantly better than the other, but this time, I have to say, both concerts went very well. Perhaps a first for the many years I have been with the Claremont Concert Orchestra.
