Ever wonder what to do with dead batteries? Here in Claremont you can take them to the public library and drop them in this bin.
I am amazed at how many I need to put in this recycler, especially since we have rechargeables, but I guess not all of our batteries are. How did people use to live before electricity?

I wish they had something like that in FC. Batteries from electric toothbrushes, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, hearing aids, etc.
My daughter is in charge of this and makes sure we put the batteries in a particular place when they are dead (lots of kids toys have batteries . . . ) and then she brings them to the library to recycle them.
