Today is National Haiku Poetry Day, smack dab in the middle of National Poetry Month. The Haiku Foundation encourages public haiku-reading events, and the closest celebration to Claremont, an open mic night, is in Sierra Madre at Bean Town Coffee Bar from 7:30 on.
